the problem

The tractional resistance increases due to the growth of soft and hard fouling. The consequences are increased energy consumption and, under certain circumstances, loss of maneuverability. This growth has so far been slowed down or prevented by applying a biocide or metal-containing coating. The following quantities are processed in Germany or end up in river, sea or brackish water.

Material exhibition / Season Total In water Inland (71%) North/Baltic Sea (29%)
Number of pleasure crafts 206.000
Consumption of AF coatings 794 t ca. 400 t
Including biocide 198 t 99 t 70 t 29 t
Of which with Cu 178 t 90 t 64 t 25 t

Of which with ZnO 50 t 25 t 18 t 7 t
Corresponds to Zn metal 40 t 20 t 14 t 6 t

our goal

The protection of our domestic waters from poisoning with biocides, metals and environmentally hazardous substances as well as reducing the dumping of microplastics

The solution

itBoatProtect

The entry of copper and zinc as well as biocides into the environment is reduced to zero! In addition, the amount of coating materials is reduced to 1/5 to 1/10 per year! This not only dramatically reduces the release of microplastics into the water, but also avoids 50-90% solvent emissions. itBoatProtect does not contain any environmentally hazardous substances and is therefore a real environmentally friendly alternative!

why itBoatProtect?

Transparent, thin-layer & abrasion-resistant coating system

Easy-to-clean effect thanks to the pore-tight surface = easy cleaning of soft and hard fouling

Easy to apply by wiping or spraying

No release of environmentally hazardous substances

Very economical! 1.0 liters itBoatProtect are sufficient for a 9 meter sports boat

Physical principle of action successfully tested in practice
